Rozema Benches For Bums Park

The Galt Mile Corruption Community Association (GMCA) wants to build a park in tribute to the Galt’s biggest thief, Bob Rozema. They want to place Rozema Park next to L'Hermitage, and fill it with park benches for bums. Only in the Galt Gulag would there be an effort to cover-up the many illegal actions of Rozema, whose name has become synonymous with graft and corruption in the Galt Gulag.

In 2005, Southpoint’s owners, through their attorney Inger Garcia, served twenty-seven pages of administrative, civil, and criminal allegations on Rozema and the Southpoint Board. These allegations were never answered. After reading the allegations, and the findings of violations by the DBPR, no sane person would want to memorialize Rozema.

Rozema Co-Conspirators

Honor among thieves; Rozema needed help to steal. During his fourteen years on the Board, Rozema was in collusion with other members of the Board for the purpose of defrauding the Federal government, the state of Florida, Southpoint Condominium Association, and profiting from that fraud. Rozema Co-conspirators include Richard Gabrielle, Murray Moskovitz, Marty Glazer, Morris Baum, Michael J. Longo, Dumont St. Martin, Teddy Spatz, Patricia Pastor, Delores French, Harold Krauss, and Lois Ginsberg. [1]

Rozema’s Illegal Reimbursements

As part of his deception and fraud, Robert John Rozema has been illegally reimbursed for his Condominium Maintenance Fees (in excess of $25,000); replacement of his apartment's windows ($5,259.00); Health Insurance; Car insurance; Gasoline; Electric service; Telephone; America On Line; Property Taxes on his apartment; Maintenance on his apartment; Assessments on his apartment; American Express credit card; Costco credit card charges; Dinner with John Aurelius, the association attorney ($247.00); Bedspread; Dishwasher; Personal items for his apartment; Membership in the Tower Club; Continuing Education for Condominium Association Manager; and the Fee for Condominium Association Manager License. Confirmed Crimes

            Florida’s DBPR found, and Rozema and Southpoint admitted, that the Rozema and Southpoint violated the following Florida laws: [3]

1.      FS 718.116(9)(a). Illegally paid RJR's condominium assessment.

2.      FS 718.116(9)(a). Illegally paid RJR's condominium maintenance

3.      FS 718.111(12)(a)11. Illegally failed to maintain sufficient detail in accounting records.

4.      FS 718.111(12)(a)11. Southpoint Board lied to the DBPR, and provided "three conflicting statements regarding his [Rozema] compensation, none of which were verifiable."

5.      FS 718.111(12). Illegally failed to maintain Board Minutes.

6.      FS 718.111(12). Illegally failed to maintain Rozema’s employment records and contract.

7.      FS¶718.111(12). Illegally held secret meetings concerning Rozema's compensation.

Boffa-Rozema Memorial Criminal Defense Fund

Having admitted many violations of Florida law, Rozema does not deserve be memorialized with a park. There are other ways to remember Rozema’s contribution to the biggest crime scene in Fort Lauderdale. Playa del Mar’s president, Bob Boffa, is a convicted felon. We suggest the creation of a Boffa-Rozema Memorial Criminal Defense fund to defend Condominium Board members caught stealing.
